Nottingham Malaysian Games

At 3am on a Saturday morning, LSESU MC sponsored a bus that sent society members and athletes off to take part in the annual Nottingham Malaysian Games 2014. For those looking for a break from the city, the visit to Nottingham was a wonderful opportunity to take in a different environment, as well as to meet Malaysian students from different universities. The athletes did impressively, with the netball team emerging as overall champions! In badminton, Jazlyn Anne Arrais obtained a second placing for the Women’s singles section! Our chess representative, Han Loong put up a good fight and was ultimately placed 4th in the event. All in all, it was a fruitful day for the athletes and those involved, as everyone had the chance to indulge in Malaysian food at the food fair!
